Tax, Records and the Law in Namibia

1 min

Crypto is legal to own and trade in Namibia, and the regulatory picture keeps developing. What does not change is your responsibility to keep clean records and to be able to explain where funds came from.

Keep a simple ledger. Date, amount in NAD, amount in coin, the rate and the counterparty.

Expect identity checks. Any legitimate service will verify who you are before large transactions.

Ask a professional about tax. Gains may be taxable depending on how and why you trade.

Building Your Own Plan

1 min

Finishing this course does not make you a trader, and it is not supposed to. It makes you a person who can hold crypto without being confused or cheated. Before you put real money to work, write four sentences down and keep them where you can see them.

What I am buying and why, in plain language, with no price prediction in it.

How much, as a share of savings you can genuinely leave alone.

How I store it, and where the seed phrase lives.

What would make me sell, decided now, while you are calm.

Then go and take the scam-safety training. Knowing how to buy is half the skill, keeping what you bought is the other half.
